While at Revamp Corporation in Japan, Berekk looked after international relationships between US companies looking to enter the Japanese market. Companies he dealt with include, but are not limited to, Krispy Kreme Doughnuts, Cold Stone Creamery, Jamba Juice, and Focus Brands.

During that time, Berekk developed a keen eye for international markets and the importance of local knowledge and the right local partner. While in Asia, he was able to build a strong support system in most major markets in the area. Berekk’s clear communication skills and high-worth network in the United States and Asia provide many transpacific opportunities.


Garrett Redd

Garrett worked at Illinois Tool Works where his focus was on the food service industry throughout the world. His customers included companies like Chipotle, Brinker, T.G.I. Friday’s, and Buffalo Wild Wings among others.

Garrett received his MBA from Arizona State University and Bachelors in Business Administration from California Lutheran University. He served on the W.P. Carey Student Advisory Board as the President representing all students in their relationship with the University.

In 2007, Kahala acquired Cold Stone Creamery, creating a company holding 13 diversified brands. As Chairman and CEO, Kevin had now built Kahala to a company generating more than $1.1 billion in system wide sales in partnership with 3,000-plus franchisees and more than 4,600 retail locations in 24 countries. Kahala is now one of the leading quick service restaurant franchisors in the United States.

Dr. Victor W. Nee obtained his PhD at Johns Hopkins University, and Bachelor’s degree at the National Taiwan University. Currently a partner in DNE Capital Management, LLC, an Arizona based firm specializing in the EB-5 immigrant investor program, which he co-founded, he has been appointed as adviser for more than 25 organizations in Chinese Government and industry. In business, Dr. Nee is active in investment and consulting in various industries.

He has served as a board member for companies such as Airborne, Biomassters, Shannxi Foreign Economic University, the Holley group, The Potevio Group of China, the Beijing Orient Electronic Group, ChungHua University, the Global Green Foundation, CNE Group, HGI Canada, Mobile & Commerce Solutions PLC, Cyprus and the Internet Exchange of Bank Acceptance Note of Shanghai.

Hasim Cakmak

During his 25 year career, Hasim has been extremely active in the international marketplace. While at ULKER Golf in Turkey, he gained a vast experience of business development and brand building in the MENA, Arabian GULF and Balkan countries where he developed a rich and strong network. His services in the Finance and Marketing sectors increased his understanding of the international investment environment.

Hasim played a crucial role in the successful development of a well-known Turkish patisserie Franchise. He also is the Master Franchisee of Cold Stone Creamery in Turkey and established the brand and business in the region. Today, he remains partner and Vice President for the Cold Stone Turkey business.

Bernard Soo

Bernard Soo has been a key influence over the Chinese entertainment industry. As President of Tai Seng Entertainment, he led the company to be the largest U.S. distributor of TV programs and movies produced in Asia. In 2007, after reaching over $30 million dollars a year in video sales at major retailers such as Walmart, Tai Seng launched three channels on DirectTV and his own IPTV called GekTV.

With his extensive experience and contacts in Asia, Mr. Soo is now concentrating his professional efforts in food franchising from Asia to North America and from North American to Asia. Like his previous entertainment experience, he believes food as a concept can be branded and marketed to different communities around the world.

Gidon’s strength lies in building and maintaining strong relationships and over the years he has accumulated a wealth of contacts around the world; with franchisors, master franchisees, investors, VC firms, PE groups and strategic partners.He is a strategic and lateral thinker with strong leadership skills and a positive solution-focused approach who identifies opportunities and is able to bring together the required people, skills and expertise to maximize these.


Tran Nhat Phu

Phu N. Tran is in the distribution sector in Vietnam. The business growth is at the rate of over 35% annually, thanks to smart filling in the demand gap of foreign versus domestic goods. With his five year distribution experience of private label made in Thailand, into domestic Vietnam market in area of Mom & Baby Care, as well as taking advantages of competitive cost production in Southeast Asia, he is planning, but not just limited within one industry, to expand connections of production and distribution among Vietnam, Thailand, North America, Australia, and Japan.

Prior to his entrepreneurship, he had opportunities to participate in regional and domestic marketing projects working with affiliates of ExxonMobil, 3M, and British Petroleum within Asia Pacific. He came from Media Management, M.A. in Webster University, St.Louis, Missouri, U.S.A.
